Preparation IS THE KEY
Communicate what you want to your photographer. I like to create a Pinterst board for my clients, to check we are on the same page after our consultation call. It's a great way for a client to collaborate with me and check my understanding of what they need and want from their shoot! 💡

Consider where you want to use your images in advance of your shoot
Every image should have a purpose and tell your brand story!! So then it is just a case of working out where best to tell that story.
Having an idea of where you want use your images will better inform your decision on what shots you need.
Here are some ideas of where you might use your images...

Season proof your outfits
You’ll get a lot more bang for your buck if your outfits don’t look too seasonal.
Posting a summery looking image in summer clothes during the winter months can feel a bit strange and it can alienate your audience because it feels out dated.
Top Tip - If you add a jacket or coat over a summery look, you won't need a million extra outfits and you won't waste precious shoot time changing every 10 mins .
It's a simple way to make the most of your shoot time and keep your images working for you all year round ! ☀️❄️☔️

Don’t post them all at once.
The temptation is to post them all in the first week because you are so excited and proud of them.
But drip feeding your audience is a much smarter way to keep them hooked and engaged. 🤩

Spend the little extra and upgrade your shoot.
If you are in two minds as to which package to book, consider maybe upgrading to a half day or full day shoot to make sure you have enough images to keep the high quality content consistent and flowwwwwing all year round! You can always add additional images on to your package at a later date, but if you have to book another shoot it's going to end up more expensive. My advice would be to always allow for more time in your shoot rather than less to make sure you get all the shots you need and to make sure we don't feel rushed!
