FAQ
How long will my shoot last?
The length of your shoot will depend on which package you decide to invest in. A Full Day Personal Branding shoot will last for roughly 7-8 hours. 4 hours if you have booked for a Half Day shoot or 90mins for a Mini-Session. Lifestyle Portraiture shoots such as pregnancy, engagement and family usually run at about 50-60mins. You can choose your start time and we will take breaks as you wish.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in St.Albans, UK but my client base extends to Bristol and London. However, I travel all over the UK and Europe. Travel is charged at 0.45p per mile.
What should I wear?
The number one rule is…wear clothes you feel your best in!! I suggest you try to stick to block colours over heavy patterns as it reads better in the camera. Feel free to have changes of top/outfit - I would recommend a couple different colours and different types of necklines. For branding shoots, you may want to stick to a particular colour palette to compliment your brand colours and create consistency within your images. We can discuss your outfit choices in our consultation.
Can we shoot in different locations?
Yes!! We will discuss your shoot locations during your consultation. I then make sure we have permissions and book any studio or public spaces we decide to work in.
Will you tell me how to pose?
Yes. I will direct you throughout your shoot to make sure we get the perfect shots. My direction is always offered as a suggestion rather than a must. The whole process is collaborative and relaxed.
What happens after the shoot?
Within 5 working days of your shoot, I will send you a link to a private online viewing gallery with all the best images from your shoot (between 100-300 images). You will then choose your favourites and I will personally retouch each of your choices, before sending you a new link for you to download all your images in high resolution format within 14 working days of your selections.
What can I use my images for?
You have full rights to use all the images you receive in lines with the T&Cs you will receive with your booking contract. Examples of how previous clients have used their images: ‘About Me’ headshot images on your website, social media content, digital marketing campaigns, grant applications, LinkedIn Profile pictures, PR images, magazine articles, podcast covers etc.
Where can I park if I am coming to your studio?
You can park on the road outside the house, I will issue you with a permit for the day. Please see Google Maps link for directions.
Can I order more images than the number included in my package or quote?
Yes, of course. If you would like to order extra retouched images, they are £20 each. You can order at the time of selection or come back to me a couple of weeks/months later, if and when you need more.
Do you offer hair and make up pre-shoot?
If you would like to have your hair and make up done pre-shoot, I can help with recommendations of make up artists, hair dressers and stylists who will make sure you look and feel a million dollars for your shoot. I am your fairy godmother, just let me know what you need.
